Juria Yoshikawa is a Second Life creation artist who typically creates immersive installations. In Second Life, she appears as a female avatar. The real life person behind the Juria Yoshikawa avatar is Lance Shields, a Tokyo-based multimedia artist and designer. He has another avatar, also an artist, named Andres Watanabe. He maintains a blog about his Second Life artwork, Memespelunk. Juria Yoshikawa also documents art installations on Flickr.

SL Virtual Art

Yoshikawa's artwork tends to be massive and temporary immersive pieces which avatars may walk or fly through, or simply be surrounded by the artistic experience. Her work is typically kinetic, using a variety of SL scripts which move the textures of the often large pieces, as well as the pieces themselves.

Juria Yoshikawa recieved second place for the "Best Artist in the Creation Arts" category in the Best of SL Art 2007.

Group Shows

Juria Yoshikawa was one of several artists exhibiting at Virtual Art Space Diabolus (benvolio).

Other artists in the show were: MANAX, Noizz Papp, Caravaggio Bonetto, Velazquez Bonetto, and Josina Burgess. The show opened in November, 2007.
